What do you think of when you hear the words “special needs adoption?” What are your first thoughts? Feelings? Though a common response is “children who are malnourished, suffering with debilitating diseases,” this textbook response does not reflect the true image of a special needs adopted child.

Today I was originally going to write about special needs adoption but in light of current events I have decided to postpone it until next week. This week my heart has taken a bit of a turn given the most recent news headlines: “The Koreas Clash,” “South Korea warns of ‘firm’ response,” and “The Koreas’ maritime woes.”
